Plastic grocery bag knitting
Today was a hugely busy day: [Epic Brew] began today with our first brew (post coming soon) and the air lock is already bubbling, made four loaves of delicious banana bread, Robert made some unbelievably good gumbo and disappeared without saying goodbye, and Alice’s good friend from high school (Heather) and her husband (Spencer) are spending the night. (Whew!)
Well Heather learned to knit earlier this year and showed some of her handi-work, a handbag made from plastic grocery bags.
She said she got the idea from a book her friend had on recycling that mentioned the idea of crocheting with plastic bags, but she didn’t know how to crochet so she knits!
These dainty hands belie the amazonian (and eco-conscience) woman to which they belong.
